Numbers 13:33, 14:10 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. 10 But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.
Numbers 14:6-10 And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes: 7 And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land. 8 If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. 9 Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.
In this narrative we see the twelve spies going into the promised land to see the land that God has promised to give them for the first time. After surveying the land the spies come back with conflicting conclusions on what the next step is to be. Would they go in and possess the land as God had commanded or would they remain in the wilderness. Ten of the spies say they cannot go into the land and possess it. Two of the spies, Caleb and Joshua, urge the people to go into the land and possess it.
So what made the difference? The ten spies magnified the enemies saying there were giants in the land and they magnified the part they would play in conquering the promised land therefore they were discouraged because they assumed that they looked like grasshoppers to the inhabitants of the land. The two spies magnified the Lord. They put no confidence in their abilities but declared their total reliance upon the Lord. Let us make sure that we are not magnifying the problem but magnifying the Lord. As we behold the greatness of God then the challenges of life will grow small as we rely upon God's strength instead of our own.

magnifying problems.. sounds like todays christains ...oh i mean people ! its ture we all have done it and sad to say but some still do. its bad when you magnify problems, but when we make them well thats just wicked.. christains we need to pray for our brothern. more praying less talking about praying.to much of the worldly things and no time for the things that will make a difference the names or called out on judgement day.
